Breakfast Briefing – Allergen Awareness

Join us in central London and revel in a morning of insightful presentations and discussions around food safety and allergens by specially selected speakers at Highfield’s latest Breakfast Briefing.

Our chosen speakers are experts in their field with a wealth of knowledge.

Euan MacAuslan is senior training advisor at The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, author of ‘Effective Food Hygiene Training’ and a regular contributor of articles. He is also an experienced speaker, and regularly presents at high-profile food safety events.

Euan will deliver a presentation on the ‘A history of food poisoning and food allergens’.

Peter Wareing is an independent expert witness for civil and criminal courts, and a food safety consultant in HACCP, risk assessment, theoretical validations and microbiological troubleshooting, with particular focus on mycological issues.  

His specialist product areas are in the microbiology of soft drinks, sauces and dressings, bakery products and dried foods. As a member of the Society for Applied Microbiology and a Fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology, Peter has over 30 years’ experience working in food and agricultural research and development. His work has taken him as far as Africa, Asia and South America.

Peter will present on ‘Food allergen culture: prevention is better than cure’.

Breakfast snacks and refreshments will be available on arrival and during the morning, with an opportunity for networking with other professionals in your area after the event.

It is an absolute pleasure to run events for our customers and there is nothing we like more than to meet up with you on these days. However, we need to maximise attendance and therefore have to charge for late cancellation and non-attendance.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

1. Please send cancellation details to events@highfield.co.uk. We request that delegates inform us of cancellations as soon as possible so that we can attempt to reallocate the place to a person on our waiting list.

2. If you notify us of your cancellation more than 2 weeks prior to the event then we will provide a full refund or transfer your booking to an alternative Highfield event.

3. If you notify us of your cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to the event then the full cost will be payable.

4. Where you have booked a place at an event and do not attend then the full event cost will be payable.
