Who is responsible for audits and inspections in your business? How do you ensure legal compliance?

Do you rely on third-party auditors and visits from enforcement officers to identify food safety problems? Have you the confidence and knowledge to carry out your own inspections?

Why attend?

This practical half-day CPD session is designed to showcase the difference that suitably qualified internal auditors can make to your business.

Delivered by an experienced trainer, auditor and environmental health practitioner, the event will take a practical, commercially driven look at the Level 3 Award in Effective Auditing and Inspection qualification from Highfield.

Highfield’s Level 3 Award in Effective Auditing and Inspection is designed to equip learners with the knowledge to audit a variety of premises. It is the ideal qualification for those who carry out internal audits and meets the requirements for second-party auditing for the BRC Global Food Standards.

The qualification has been modified recently to ensure suitability not only for the manufacturing and catering industries but also for other sectors including consumer products, hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceuticals, warehousing and retail.

The qualification is also a vital part of Highfield’s new Certified Food Safety Management programme and Highfield’s Manager in Charge (HMIC) programme.

Trainers who are interested in delivering the qualification will be able to purchase the new training presentation at a significant discount using a unique code that will be provided at the event.

Who is it for?

This CPD event is ideal for trainers and companies who currently deliver the Level 3 Award in Auditing and Inspection, as well as trainers and businesses who may wish to add the qualification to their delivery portfolio. Supervisors and managers interested in learning more about auditing and inspection would also benefit from attending.

The event will provide an overview of the qualification and the recent changes, and how to maximise the use of the training resources available from Highfield. It will also cover practical elements that Jerry adds to his own training to ensure that learners leave with more than just a theoretical understanding of auditing, but a level of knowledge that leads to competence through practice.

What will it cover?

Jerry will discuss commercial drivers that exist towards encouraging delegate attendance and how to make the training sessions more relevant, motivational and interesting.

Jerry will demonstrate, through targeted practical elements, how he reinforces auditing training skills that ensure learners are fully engaged and able to practically apply the skills learnt during the classroom session. The aim of this practical element is to enhance learners’ theoretical understanding of auditing and help them achieve genuine workplace competence.
